Where extra hard wearing wallpapers are necessary we can provide a liquid laminate post installation.
The beauty of the digital process is that it affords unconstrained imagery unlike conventional printing. There is no need to buy or store stock as we print the size to fit your wall.

Letter to client to describe our digital wallpaper
A prospective client asked me about a post I put on LinkedIn and asked me about our wallpaper. I thought I would share my reply........
Many thanks for commenting on my discussion topic on Linked In.
The main idea of posting was to hopefully generate comments so that I could dispell fears or any preconceived ideas about digitally printed wallpapers.
Having been a wallpaper designer all my career I have now accepted the fact that digital is not only the way forward for print but the product is improving technically day by day. There will always be the specialist papers such as hessians, silks, flock and sculpted etc, but for the printed image, individual and personalised walls in your own design must surely be the way forward.
I realise that digital print is not everyone's cup of tea but for the right area it can be dramatic. I am pursuing commercial, retail, hotel & leisure projects at the moment as they are the ones which I feel have the most creativity involved. I also see it as my role to inform interior designers as to the possibilities which digital imagery can bring.
Fire retardancy is a must for commercial premises and I only print Class 0 & 1 standard wallcoverings. The substrates I use at the moment are Digimura Smooth & Digimura Tactile. These are both non-woven fabric backed products and are 410gsm in total weight.
There are new substrates coming onto the market especially designed to take digital print. These bring the prices down further as they are paper-backed products but still rate as Class 0 & 1. I am currently looking at two which are 300gsm substrates, I wouldn't want to go much lighter than that.
Imagery is really down to the Designer's creative genius. Vector images produce non-pixelating lines which are smooth when enlarged to any size. The image could be a photograph, an adapted or stylised photograph, original artwork scanned and enlarged, a stock image, an image designed around a theme (I'm looking at a nice concept for a boutique hotel in Newcastle at the moment which will have imagery based around Newcastle's industrial heritage). In fact any concept is possible, the trick is making it work visually on the wall.
We also have our own team who are vastly experienced in installing the wallpapers.
Hope this helps shed a little light. I will be uploading some new images onto our website and blog shortly but I can send you some images if you would like to see some past projects.
Thanks again and kind regards
Mark

Change of thinking regarding digitally printed wallpaper
I was asked to look at someone’s wallpaper design portfolio the other day which prompted me to write this piece. In my capacity as a purchaser of artwork for traditional wallpaper I have seen many design portfolios. In the past I have been amazed that designers never used to really put their designs into repeat. It was a requirement necessary at the time because of the printing process. There was no real alternative and design studios tailored their work accordingly.
Now, however, times have changed.
Digital print is coming more and more to the fore as Interior Designers grasp the concept and recognise the potential with their creativity. Some artists and commercial designers however still believe they have to produce artwork in a format suitable for conventional print process.
So after years of telling artists, artworkers and commercial design studios to design for the process, I am now telling them to forget what I said in the past, take the shackles off and whack those ideas out!
Don’t worry about design repeats any more. Design, draw, paint, digitally produce design that you think would look amazing on a wall, because we can now create and produce it!
It is a mindset which wallpaper designers and, to some extent, textile designers should break out of. The future of wallpaper is individuality. I’ve not seen a conventional wallpaper that I’ve liked for a long time, simply because I now know what can actually be achieved!
So to all creative designers I say, let your creativity flow. There are no restrictions for wallpaper design anymore. There is no need to put ideas and artwork into repeats!
When I question artists & designers as to what they think digital wallpaper is I usually receive the answer that it is a photographic mural at a set size. Sorry, NO! We can produce digital wallpaper from any artwork at any size, it doesn’t have to be a photograph.
So let those creative juices flow. Digital wallpaper is the future!
